A legend in the making.

F***ing Facebook , got me again.

That makes another classmate to smack at the 15yr reunion next month.

"It's been a long time. I shouldn't have left you, without a dope post to get through the weekend......"

Well it's been a while. I had to spend the weekend in Bowling Green Kentucky for work purposes, but I am back, poor grammar and all.

First things first i want to say, "I told ya so!" to all you who doubted me when i said that North Carolina was, is, and forever shall be the cream of the basketball crop. My boys dusted everyone they have faced in this tourney and like Puffy used to say, " I thought I told ya that we won't stop! I thought I told ya that we won't stop! eh-eh, eh-eh!" Nova you next.

Secondly I wanna personally thank my beautiful loving wife(brownie points), whom i cannot fathom living without(big brownie points) for giving Xavier one of the more memorable weekends in his entire life. Xavier has gushed and gushed about how went to the Monser Jam show. He also had his first teeball practice, built a bear at a friends birthday party and had a visit from his very special auntie 'nay. I think it was evident by how he slept last night that he had exhausted himself with all the fun. Thank you for holding it down. Although i think you may have had more fun at the Monster Jam than he did.

And for you haters and tea leaf readers who are thinking. He should have thanked his wife first, and then his tar heels. Tee knows that she is first and foremost in my life so i don't have to walk on eggshells like that. Thats how we roll, bay-bay-.

"Peace and much luv to ya!"

"Like a moth to the flame. Burned by the fire."

Normally I like to pride myself on being myself and not just following the trends of society. But I have to admit, I've fallen hook, line, and sinker, for the whole facebook craze. I enjoy getting on FB and catching up with old friend, seeing what everyone is up to, occasional chats, and Texas Hold'em Poker. I check my FB page regularly and think it is a great tool. But with every great discovery there is a great discovery about the initial great discovery that is not too great. Which brings me to today.

I was doing my normal morning check of FB to see what is going on and let people know what i had going on and I notice that I, who absolutely hates taking pictures, had been tagged in one of my friends photos. I looked at who posted it and I thought. We were good friends at high school but outside of that there was no real connection. We never hung out or anything, so why would she have a picture of me. I looked at the thumbnail sized picture and thought, thats not me thats this guy who was a year behind me, and she just tagged it as me since i was the only black guy in our graduating class. So i go to this girl's page to tell her that she has mistaken me for someone else. So by clicking on the pic I was transported to the page the pic was posted. In doing this I was exposed to a full size pic instead of a thumbnail..........

It was me, circa 1993, at a graduation awards function. (I'm seeing RED!) I had been burned by facebook. I had spent time after time laughing at old pics of people i know, knowing that since i never took many pics, I would be somehow immune to the embarrassment. But out of nowhere comes this picture in which i look like a crackhead version of myself. I was killin them though in my mustard yellow silk shirt. Don't quite know what was going on with that tie, but hey it worked. So i wondered why I never knew of the existence of this pic. And I tried to put myself in the mindset of the person who took it. And I think of the countless hours of daydreaming that went on in that girl and any girl that she shared it with. After all I was, and still am, a tall, dark, and handsome piece of chocolate man candy. And instead of leaving a comment telling her to take the pic down, I will let it stay up to provide visual pleasure to wimmens all over the world. So like Rick James on Chappelle show said, "ENJOY YO'SELF!"

In my mind

The best of the Hamiltonization Process

http://www.illestlyrics.com/multimedia/mixtapes/charles-hamilton-the-best-of-the-hamiltonization-process/

Great CD by an up and coming artist. Has alot of my favorites from his 10 mixtapes or whatnot that he released for free and called the hamiltonization process.

808's and Heartbreak

http://www.imeem.com/kanyewest/playlist/t4G6F51S/808s-heartbreak-music-playlist/

I admit, when Kanye first released this album and said it was his best he's made, i was like, "Are you kidding me?" Mind you, I was fresh off of Graduation, attending the Glow in the Dark tour in Chicago, and playing his album all the way through.

But them more i listened, the more i loved. And i know that nigga can't sing, but he put theses songs together masterfully. And they all resonate in my head. "No matter what, they'll neva take that from me......"

This album to me hit me like all 3 of the N.E.R.D. albums did. At first i was like what and where do they think they going with this. But you listen and listen and it catches you, and stays with you. I still to this day bang In Search Of.. hard. Which brings me to their latest CD, Seeing Sounds;

http://www.amazon.com/Seeing-Sounds-N-E-R-D/dp/B00195BM8E#moreAboutThisProduct

Amazing disc. They get me everytime. Take a listen if you want. You'll be cooler if you do.

Busted Again

Every day we ask Xavier what he wants for lunch the next day. And 9 out of 10 times he says he wants a lunchable. The lunchable consists of crackers, deli meat, cheese, and oreo cookies. Sometimes, hell most of the time, we buy the cheap knock-off brand that has a miniature candy bar instead of cookies. Tee will pack his lunch every night and have it ready to run out of the house in the morning. Well every evening we can tell how much he has eaten by what is left in his containers, and someone hasn't been eating his food. Usually all the crackers, a few pieces of cheese and maybe a piece or two of meat left. But them cookies are gone. So Tee comes up with the idea of not giving him cookies in order to make him eat his other food. She asked me the night before about it and i gave her a roundabout answer that didn't answer her question. Well the next morning on the way out, Tee decides to ask me about it again. Only this time Xavier was present:

T- hey randall

R- What!

T- You never decided about his lunch last night.

R- What about it?

T- Should i leave the C-O-O-K-I-E-S's out of his lunch.

R-I don't.........

X- You talkin bout the cookies. No no, i want my cookies, i need my cookies.

R- I guess that answers that.

So now i know that my boy can spell certain words and the old spell it out method just won't cut it anymore. Are you smarter than a 4 year old?

Xavier's Nightly Nugget of Knowlege

It seems like everyday that Xavier always out-thinks, out-wits, or out-performs Tee or I in some way shape or form. Today Xavier decides that he is going to school his daddy on 'Tow Trucks";
X- Daddy, how many tow trucks are there?
R- I don't know Xavier. I guess you would have to get all the tow trucks together and count them. But the tow trucks are always working so you can't count all of them.
X- Do you like tow trucks?
R- No they are bad, they take people's cars away.(As in if you are illegally parked.)
X- No, no daddy. Tow trucks are good, they take your car away and take it to get it fixed. And then they fix it up into a new car. And then they pick the new car up and bring it back to you and you have a brand new car that is pretty. So tow trucks are good.
I guess I can't argue with that logic.
Earlier that morning, Xavier dropped some science on his mother, as she was getting dressed for work.
X- Mommy, what is that black thing?
T- Uumm..... its a bra.
X- You use it to hold your two muscles.(breasts)
I know, I couldn't do anything but laugh also. So watch yourself and be on your P's and Q's when he is around cause he will call you out. That's my boy! :-)

Why the URL name?

You look at the URL and wonder, "What in the world is bluefunder?" Well a select few know what it is. About 5-10 of my family members know, the rest do not. Well I'm going to let you in on what bluefunder is. Bluefunder is a force that is sweeping the nation. It has followers young and old and it provides bounds of excitement to all that follow. One of which is my son Xavier. He absolutely love bluefunder. If bluefunder is on TV you better watch out and be quiet. Do not disturb him while he is in the throws of bluefunder. And god forbid you ask him to do something else while he is watching bluefunder at work. He will roll his eyes with the grace and elegance of his mother and great grandmother. Xavier's passion for bluefunder has caused me to become a follower of bluefunder and all of his associates. All of whom which Xavier has an affinity for. So come on in and join the rage that is sweeping the country. I introduce you to "Bluefunder"

I know, "That doesn't say Bluefunder!"

But you try to convince a 4 year old that cannot yet pronounce 'th' yet and pronounces it with an 'f' , and you too will come to the realization that the name of this monster truck is not Blue Thunder, but is "Bluefunder"

School is not out of session.

Buzzy, Binkus, and Bright Eyes, WTF!

Bright Eyes(Tee) and Binkus(Xavier)

Binkus(Xavier) and Buzzy(Dublar the CBW)

Odd name for a blog. Yeah i know. jBut there is meaning behind it. It represents a nickname that all three of us have had.

Lets start with me( who better to start with). Obviously i am not bright eyes because all that know me mistake my normal everyday look for a scowl. I am Buzzy, and i will give some insight as to why. My nephew Devon( who will be 16 this year, damn i'm getting old) used to call me uncle Buzzy. Why? You might ask. Because his mother, my sister call me Buzz. (Buzz, humm, interesting nickname, but i've never heard anyone call you that.) Thats because i don't answer to that. She calls me that and there is some half true story that has to do with Bugs Bunny, and special Pajamas. But we won't get into all that(maybe in a later post).

Binkus is a nickname that we somehow ended up giving Xavier, but he no longer likes or answers to.

And Tee is Bright Eyes, a nickname that was given to her by her very special Grandfather. And if you've met her she does have big beautiful eyes(brownie points). You should have seen them fluttering and spilling over with tears of joy while we exchanged vows( major brownie points).

So that is us one small happy family.

Point of this Blog

I don't know.

Just kidding. My son, Xavier, always seems to bless Tee and I with all kinds of little nuggets of wisdom, comedy, and common sense. Tee once said, " I wish we could keep a list of all the things he does, because there is no way to remember all of this. " So i suggested a website to share all of this with the world. And with this blog i plan on covering that and other various items that i deal with, such as:

*I also find myself constantly telling stories of my past adventures and misadventures to various people.

*People always ask me to make them CDs and what are you listening to.

*People always ask me how Xavier and Tee are doing.

*Lose the image of a guy who is dark and always angry.(if i had a dollar for all the times someone has asked me, "whats wrong with you? Cheer up and smile!" i would be well off in this recession.)

*Give some advice on certain subject. ( no one said it will be good advice, more so a W.W.R.D. type of thing)

*Give praise to the almighty North Carolina Mens Basketball Team. The top Men's Basketball program in the whole wide world.

* And anything else i feel like rambling and ranting about.

So tune in if you like, pics will come soon, but i have 2 jobs and cant do them right now. Till then i say "Peace and much luv to ya!"-Lupe Fiasco

Tracks in my head

Old School: Without a Doubt-Black Sheep

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFyjlwTYxSg

My old roomate Brad used to love this song. To the point where i initally didn't care for it and ended up loving it. Don't know why it popped into my head but i hear it.

New School: Sky Might Fall - Kid Cudi

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDAoX0cZArI

Really loving Cudi right now. I think the hook just gets in my head and has trouble finding its way out. "Let'em know sumthin, Let'em know sumthin, Let'em know sumthin, now listen up-a, now listen up-a, now listen up-a."
